Our Little Boy Lost
Grandparents in Legal Battle for the right to see two-year-old Sam
Daily Mail 29 May 1995
Pauline and Colin Day of Dartford, Kent, are intending to apply for access under the Children Act. Their daughter, Helen, sent a letter of 'disconnection' in January this year and now refuses to acknowledge her mother.
Mrs Day said, "I love Helen and Sam too much to give up on them. I will take it through all the courts if I have to."
A Scientology spokesman said the breakdown of Helen's relationship with her mother was a personal matter which had nothing to do with her involvement with the sect. While they had a policy on 'disconnection,' this did not cover family situations, he said. "As far as we are concerned, Helen and her mother should try to arrange a reconciliation."
